Egyptian Goose Alopochen aegyptiacus Size: 64-73cm UK Status: scarce resident breader | | Male is buff, wing coverts are white with black primaries, green secondaries and brown tertiaries. Belly is paler, mantle dark. The rump, tail and back are black. There is a chestnut ring around the eye. The female is similar, but smaller. Their long legs are pink, bill is pink with black tip and base. Their most distinctive feature is the bandit's mask. | |
