BirdDiary.co.uk has been developed as an on-going experiment. Our goal is to discover how the Internet can help both birds and bird watchers alike. Created in early 2002 by Brad Munn and John Lee, the site aims to raise national awareness of birds, conservation and related issues and to create an on-line community of bird lovers.

The technology used by BirdDiary.co.uk enables the provision of up to the minute nation-wide information on bird sightings. Diary users are encouraged to provide as much detail as possible in their entries such as exact location, weather and time of day.

We provide this service free of charge and we do not make any money from the site, except for a small amount from advertising which just about covers the hosting charges.
